Richard L. Killian
Richard L. Killian, age 71, of Crest Hill, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Chicago on March 17, 1951, to the late Arville and Pallastine (Halfacre) Killian. Richard was raised in Romeoville and was a graduate of Lockport West High School. He was a member of the Joliet HOG Chapter and a proud former President of the Parents Auxiliary for JROTC in Lockport.
Richard loved his Harley, almost as much as he loved his family! He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, motorcycles, and watching the military channel. He had a sense of humor that only those close to him understood.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Linda (Poole) Killian; his daughters, Christine (Troy) Spencer and Tricia (Patrick) Korth; one grandson, Axton Korth; brother, Michael Killian; sister, Darlene (Fred) Faybik; three nieces, Mindy (Scott) Hawk, Kimberlee (Jeff) Fink and Heather Faybik; two nephews, Jason (Christine) Killian and Freddie Faybik; honorary Pops to many kids; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews also survive.
He is preceded by his parents; and one brother, Darrel W. Killian.
Visitation for Richard L. Killian will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. As it was Richard’s wish, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in his name would be appreciated.
