Obituary of Rosemary K. Schneider

Age 99, of Joliet, IL, formerly of Chicago, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, at The Laurels of Kettering, in Kettering, OH.  She was born August 23, 1922 in Oswego, IL to the late Mary (Pierce) and Dennis Mahoney. 

Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Patricia Schneider of Dayton, OH; her grandsons, Howard (Julie) Schneider, Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN and David (Patty) Schneider of Arvada, CO; four great-grandchildren, William, Sarah, Ryan and Clare Schneider; daughter in-law, Joyce Schneider of Shorewood, IL.  Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Schneider, who passed away in 1969; son, Howard James Schneider, Sr.; brother, Howard (Ruth) Wartenberg, Donald (Lola) Mahoney, and Clare Mahoney; sisters, Dolores (Raymond) Kenning, Vera (Harold) Lemay, and Celia Mahoney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Parish, 2300 Smithfield Rd., Dayton, OH, 45420.

Visitation for Rosemary Schneider will be Monday, July 18, 2022, from 9:00 a.m until the time Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough Street, Joliet, IL.  Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
