Keith Allen Clower
Keith Allen Clower, of Channahon, passed away peacefully at the age of 68, on Saturday, July 23, 2022, surrounded by the love of his family. Keith was born on July 20, 1954, the son of the late Paul W. and Maria Jane (nee Brittin) Clower. Raised in Channahon, he was a graduate of Minooka High School and received his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Joliet Junior College. Keith worked at Kerr Glass for over 27 years. He was also formerly employed at Harrah’s Casino as a Chef and was a long time parishioner of Channahon United Methodist Church.
Keith had an outgoing personality and made friends wherever he went. He never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion with a card. His skill in the kitchen was enjoyed by everyone that he shared his special creations with. He was famous for his apple butter, banana bread and deviled eggs. Keith was an Avon collector for many years. He was loved by all who knew him.
Keith is survived by his daughter, Karrie (Aaron) Bargo; two grandchildren, Kassidy and Cameron Bargo; siblings, Dana (Bob) Kobliska, Ruth Ann (John) Daniels, Dennis (Pat) Clower, Robin Clower, and Corey (Theresa) Clower; and his devoted canine companion, “Freebie”. Many special nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
He is preceded by his life partner, Vearl Lee Keeton, Jr.; his parents; and two brothers, David Clower and Scott Clower.
Visitation for Keith Allen Clower will be held at Channahon United Methodist Church, 24751 W. Eames Street, Channahon, IL, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place at Willard Grove Cemetery and a luncheon will follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431, or to the church would be appreciated.
