Obituary of Miguel Zamudio

Age 81, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Alden Estates of Naperville.  He was born on March 8, 1941, to the late Maria Encarnacion and Egmidio Zamudio in Mexico.

Miguel immigrated to the United States 65 years ago and settled in the Joliet area.  He loved his family and listening to music.  He spent his career as a landscaper, enjoying the outdoors and making the plants and flowers grow.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cecilia (nee. Jacobo) Zamudio; his loving children, Rosendo (Anna Maria) Zamudio, Lilia (Noe Aguilera) Zamudio, Jesus (Reyna) Zamudio, Niva (Carlos Padilla) Zamudio; his dear grandchildren, Cristian Miguel, Marco Antonio, Miguel, and Jazmin Zamudio; Esbeidy, Lesly, and Sherlyn Aguilera; Brian, Kimberly, Kaylee, and Julissa Zamudio; Aylin, Carlos-A, Atziry Padilla; adoring great-grandchildren, Santiago Zamudio and Armando Camarena; his 10 siblings, Catalina, Maria de Jesus, Bertina, Jose, Victor, Maria de la Luz, Rosalina, Elia, Yolanda, and Miguel Zamudio; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends also survive.

Visitation for Miguel Zamudio will be Wednesday, July 27, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, at 9:00 a.m., from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 710 W. Marion St., Joliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville.
