Obituary of Frank Henry Namowicz
Frank Namowicz, age 81, of Shorewood, IL passed away Saturday evening, August 6, 2022. He was born in Lithuania, August 1, 1941. He was raised in Chicago and was a graduate of Kelly High School. A United States Army Veteran, Frank was honorably discharged in 1963.
He is the beloved husband of Bernice (Buzinskas) Namowicz; loving father of Diana (David) Houck and Steven Namowicz; proud grandfather of Maxwell, Zachary and Jackson; Daniel, Matthew, Alyssa and Jason. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Namowicz; siblings, Henry (Veronica), Harriet (Mitchell) Gornik, Janina (Maksimilian) Nachell and Edmund (Jeanette).
Frank was employed as a structural designer, having been employed by Sargent and Lundy for nearly 25 years and eventually retiring from Commonwealth Edison after many years of dedicated service.
He was a talented craftsman who truly enjoyed woodworking and took great pride in performing home improvement projects for his family and sharing his creations with loved ones.
Services for Frank were held privately.
