Obituary of Mark F. Baker

Age 57 of Joliet, passed away suddenly Friday, August 19, 2022 at home.  Mark was born in Chicago, the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Derby) Baker and resided in the Joliet area since 1990.  He graduated from Lincoln Way Central High School with the Class of 1983.  Mark was formerly employed by Crate & Barrel, Jewel-Osco and NAPA Auto Parts.  He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing for Muskie, hunting and trapshooting.

Surviving is his loving wife of 32 years, Wendy (Yario) Baker of Joliet; his brother, Robert (Carol) Baker Jr. of North Riverside; his sister-in-law, Minette Baker; nieces, Melissa (Anthony) Abrosia, Andrea Yario, Cali Yario, Sara Yario, Ava Yario and Gracie Yario; nephews, Robert (Kelly) Baker III, Aaron (Jen) Baker, Michael Yario, Jr., Dino Yario, Jr. and Angelo Yario.

He is preceded by his parents; his brother, Donald Baker; and his nephew, Eric Baker.

As it was Mark’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.  A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd.
