Growing up on the east side of Savannah I knew Jackie and his family as far back as I can remember. Me and my brother Ralph attended Cathedral Day School with him. In later years me and Jackie shared an apartment. When I think of those times it always brings a smile to my face. Thanks for all the good times. His personality was infectious.I wish my sincere condolences to his family.

I can’t believe my eyes this morning when I see my old time friend Jackie is gone! He grew up on East 37th and I grew up on East 38th. I also went to Myers Junior High and Jenkins with him as well. I can remember him always picking and flirting with me in the hallways, and always the jokester! I remember his beautiful eyes. Let me tell you...he was a very cute boy back then! I lost contact of what happened to him for a long time, and then one day about a year ago, he made a comment on Facebook to one of my friends post, and there he was again, in Illinois. Again, when I asked if he was the Jackie I knew from Savannah, he made some funny joke about it. So very sorry for your loss, and for his recent loss. I’m sure the love of his life was so happy to see him again. He was a sweet guy that will be remembered!

I attended Cathedral Day School with the Bouchea's (George/Jody was in my class), but we all have such wonderful memories from those simpler times.
Our prayers are with all of you. May he rest in peace.
