Amalia “Molly” Victoria Vaught

Amalia Victoria Vaught, of Shorewood, passed away at the age of 85 on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Villa Franciscan Nursing Home in Joliet, surrounded by her loving family. Molly was born on November 25, 1936, in Chicago, to the late William and Victoria (Kosiewicz) Reschke. Three days after her 17th birthday, on November 28, 1953, Molly married the love of her life, Paul Edward Vaught and together they raised their seven kids. She worked 12 dedicated years at Heakin Research Marketing as a Manager.
In her free time, Molly enjoyed sewing, doing anything crafty, and spending time with her family. She was a former Girl Scout leader for several years and had a love for all animals especially Misty and Gizmo. Molly led by example and was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
Molly is survived by her loving children, Michael E. (Marge) Vaught of Portage, IN, Karen J. (the late Kenneth) Watson of Divernon, Patricia M. (Mike) Szalko of Homer Glen, Denise A. (Lowell) Weller of Plainfield, Diane L. Wilkinson of Shorewood, Victoria R. (Dwayne) Mentgen of Joliet and Jon-Paul Vaught of Shorewood; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Edward Vaught; her parents; and one brother, Richard Reschke.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Will County Humane Society, 24109 Seil Rd. Shorewood, IL 60404 would be appreciated.
Funeral Services for Amalia Victoria Vaught were held privately by her family. As it was Amalia’s wish, cremations have been accorded.
