Cheryl C. Sterle

Age 75, of Joliet, IL passed away Tuesday September 13, 2022 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL after battling multiple health issues.

Cheryl was born November 9, 1946 to the late Bernice (nee Bernotas) and Joseph Sterle in Joliet and was a lifetime area resident.

She attended Chaney Grade school, St. Francis Academy and graduated from Lockport West High School.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Michael and sister, Nancy.

She is survived by her special friend of 41 years, Don Legerski, as well as several cousins, neighbors and friends.

Cheryl retired from the Will County Court House as a Court Clerk and was previously employed as a Secretary for Dr. Lori Knutstrom and as a Loan Processor for the former Heritage Bank.

Visitation for Cheryl Sterle will be Saturday September 17, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, 706 N. Broadway St., Joliet.  Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL.
