Obituary of Margaret Laverne Pec
Margaret Laverne Pec “Marge” passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022, at The Pointe At Morris in Morris, Illinois. Her family was blessed to have been able to be with Marge as she prepared for her passage to Paradise.
Marge was born on August 4, 1948, to Kay Williams (née Ohmer) and Vern Williams. Marge was the youngest of four siblings having two brothers, Jerry and Bob, and a sister, Joan. Marge married early to her loving husband, Joseph Pec “Joe”, who met in the same neighborhood on the southwest side of Chicago, who shared their life together for 57 wonderful years.
Marge and Joe didn’t wait long to start their own family together, having two children, Joseph and Steven “Steve”. Marge was truly a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Marge loved being with family and friends. It did not matter the occasion, if it involved a get-together with those she loved, she was always there. She never wanted anyone to fuss over her, always putting others first. Marge’s absence will be missed by many.
Marge is survived by her loving husband, Joe; her sons, Joseph (Cathy) and Steve (Denise); her brother, Bob, and her sister, Joan (Dan); her brothers-in-law, Ed and Rob (Ellen); her sisters-in-law, Carol and Joanne (Dave); three wonderful grandchildren, Andrew (Caitlyn), Timothy and Daniel and one great-grandchild, Oliver. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews and other family members and devoted friends.
Marge was preceded in death by her mother, Kay; brother, Jerry and his wife, Shirley; her sister-in-law, Bev (Bob); and her brother-in-law, Jon (Carol).
Per Marge’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. For those wishing to commemorate Marge’s life, donations in her memory can be made to, Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care in Joliet, Illinois.
