Obituary of Sharon Lynn Marzuke

Sharon Lynn Marzuke, age 82, of Morris, Illinois passed away peacefully on September 15, 2022, at Morris Hospital. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends to whom she gave so much of herself. Sharon was born on February 24, 1940, to Alverta and John Marzuke. She enjoyed music in all forms and graduated with a degree in music from Illinois State Normal University. She continued on to begin her teaching career, which evolved into becoming a principal at various Joliet Junior High Schools (District 86). She continued with her love of music by singing at Stavanger Lutheran Church as well as at weddings and other events. Throughout her life, she pursued her mission of giving as much as possible to everyone in her life, even to those she didn't know. She was a master baker, baking the best pies and Norwegian pastries. She was a huge lover of dogs and had many throughout her lifetime, including her current best canine friend, her English mastiff, Angel.

She is survived by her brother, John Barry Marzuke; her nieces, Leigh Haseman and Christine (Christopher) Thomas; her nephew, Stephen (Nadia) Marzuke, and one great-nephew as well as four great nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alverta and John Marzuke as well as her uncle, Sherwood (Lorraine) Jackson, and aunt, Laverne (Charles) Schleevogt.

Sharon's family wants to extend their gratitude to the many angels who cared for Sharon with such compassion at Morris Hospital during her final days.
