Obituary of Timothy C. McKenna

Timothy C. McKenna, age 72, of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at home.

Born July 19, 1950 in Chicago, he was the son of Patrick and Mary Agnes (Gaul) McKenna.  He married the love of his life, the former Regina Vrabec, and they enjoyed 49 years of marriage until his passing.

Tim was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed sports, especially the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Blackhawks.  Above all else, however, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Regina L. McKenna; three loving children, Carrie McKenna, Mandy (Ben) Waldron, and T. J. McKenna; six adoring grandchildren, Logan, Magnus and Morgan Campbell, and Abigael, Finley and Quinn Waldron; one brother, Terrence (Catherine) McKenna; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and six brothers and sisters, Mavis, Diane, Jeanenne, Miles, Darryl and Michael.

Visitation for Timothy McKenna will be held Friday, September 23, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet.  Cremation rites will be accorded following services and interment will be private.
