Hazen, Marjorie E.
(nee Kimble)
Age 98. Monday, October 15, 2012 at her late residence. Born on April 11, 1914 in Stockholm, New Jersey to Marcus and Alice Kimble. Her dad died when she was two years old; she went to live with and was raised by her caring aunt Mae and uncle Eugene Kimble along with her brother, Harold Kimble.
She was married to her loving husband, Mahlon Hazen, for 57 years. They married on September 12, 1936 in Milburn, NJ.
She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church for 51 years and was also a member of NARFC. She was inducted into the Will County Senior Citizen Hall of Fame. She had been attending Good Shepherd Evangelical Covenant Church for the past several years.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Mahlon; and loving son, Donald Hazen.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Dottie Hazen; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Walcott, Britt (Rich) Frigett, Kim La Rusca, and Paul (Chris) Etevard; four great-grandchildren, Soren Garner, Shane La Rusca, Oliver Walcott and Nathan Etevard; several nieces and nephews and many loving friends and neighbors also survive.
Funeral Services for Marjorie E. Hazen will be Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Knudsen and Rev. David Green officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at:
