Obituary of Dennis W. Fenili

Age 74, of Joliet, IL passed away Thursday evening, November 10, 2022 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center.

Dennis was born February 7, 1948 to the late Emma (Tofari) and Virgil Fenili in Joliet where he lived all of his life.  He attended St. Patrick Grade School and Joliet Catholic High.

He is survived by his brothers, Sam (Brenda) Fenili, Ray (Janet) Fenili and sister-in-law, Virginia Fenili as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph, Joseph Vasco (Beverly), Jimmy (late Peggy) and Richard Fenili.

Denny was an avid sports fan who knew all the players and all their stats.  He held lively debates at the former Sartori's Tap and the Ranch over the years regarding sports and miscellaneous topics.  He always found humor in any conversation which always drew patrons to the above establishments.

He will long be remembered by his family as a kind hearted, generous soul with a tremendous wit.

Funeral services for Denny Fenili will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet where visitation will held from 11 a.m. until services start at 12:30 p.m.  Interment will take place privately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Childrens Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
