Obituary of David Heaney

David J. Heaney Age 94. At rest Monday, August 11, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet and a lifelong resident. A WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc. in 1979. Dave loved the social life. Surviving are his son, David P. (Kim) Heaney of Joliet; his daughter, Suzanne (Bill) Worthington of Marseilles; five grandchildren, Billy Jr., Julie, Dave S., Jeff and Elaine; four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Brandi, and Alex. Preceded in death by his wife, June Ann (nee McGowan) Heaney (2001); two sisters, Katie and Elaine. Visitation for David J. Heaney will be Thursday, August 14, 2008 from 8:00-9:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, then will proceed to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery for military honors and interment.
