Obituary of Lynn Ann Dockendorf
Lynn Ann Dockendorf, age 75, of Apache Junction, AZ, formerly of Shorewood, IL, unexpectedly passed away peacefully November 10, 2022 at Friendship Village, Hospice of the Valley, Tempe, AZ. She was born August 31, 1947 in Peoria, IL to the late Inez (White) and Carl Bosse.
Lynn grew up in Plainfield, IL where she graduated from Plainfield High School. After graduation, she worked for Caterpillar for 30 years before retiring in 2002. While employed at Caterpillar, Lynn went back to school and obtained her Bachelor’s degree, as well as her MBA. Lynn enjoyed traveling and a had a passion for sharing that love with her daughter and grandson. Lynn truly loved golf, watching tennis and having an iced cold beer with her many cherished friends. She adored her pets throughout her life, in particular Peanut, Buddy, Laddie and Lincoln. Lynn was outgoing, fun, loving and made the most out of life. She would not hold back on patience or lack thereof, not hold back on her opinion and had a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth, even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear, she meant it with passion. Lynn will always be remembered for her love of her daughter, grandson and friends, her intelligence, passion for life, and unwavering loyalty. Her gregarious outgoing personality made her a woman who will be sorely missed.
Lynn is survived by her daughter, Jen Dockendorf and grandson, Jordan.
The family would like to thank the caring doctors, nurses and staff at Friendship Village who worked tirelessly to care for Lynn.

Visitation for Lynn will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road (at Essington Rd), Joliet, IL from10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet, IL.
