Obituary of Theresa C. Wesolowski
Theresa C. Wesolowski, age 89, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 3, 1932 in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Olszówka) Szafran. She married the love of her life, Raymond Wesolowski, Sr., and he preceded her in death February 9, 1986. One grandson, Douglas; three brothers, Joseph (Dorothy), Albert (Irene), and Thomas (Ann); and three sisters, Stella (Frank) Maka, Ann (Bernie) Frigon, and Jane Kalfas also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her loving children, Susan (Mike) McCauley, David (Sandra) Wesolowski, Christine (Mike) Marotta, Ray (Carolyn) Wesolowski, and Mike (Gayle) Wesolowski; three adoring grandchildren, David, Jr., Lisa, and Dylan; seven dear great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Zach, Landon, Sophia, Ashton, Audrey and Aria; one fond brother, John (Stella) Szafran; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Theresa was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her delicious Polish food which she delighted in cooking for her family, and her famous potato salad. She was a talented artist and also gifted at playing the guitar. She enjoyed puzzles, working crosswords, and travelling with her sister and best friend. The song “Blue Skies” will never be able to be heard without thinking of our beloved Theresa.
Visitation for Theresa Wesolowski will be held Friday, November 25, 2022 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Funeral services will be private and interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
