Obituary of Steven E. Medrano

Age 50, of Joliet, IL and formerly of Chicago, IL passed from this life Thursday evening, December 8, 2022 after battling several health issues the past few months.

He was born December 27, 1971 to Diana (Martinez) and Santiago Medrano in Chicago where he was raised and educated, a graduate of De LaSalle High School.

He is the beloved husband of Sandra (Drury) Medrano; loving father of Steven M. Medrano, Mikayla Medrano and Madison Medrano; dear son of Diana and Santiago Medrano; fond brother of Santiago (Katie) Medrano and Alexandra Medrano (Eugene Hernandez).  Steven was also a proud uncle and will be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Steven worked for many years as an auto trimmer. He and his father owned and operated Midwest Auto Tops and Upholstery, Inc in Orland Park.  His hobbies included fishing and camping as well as grilling out.  He loved preparing meals for his family and friends.

Visitation for Steven will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet.  As it was Steven’s wish, cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.
