Obituary of Anne Mauro

Anne Mauro, age 100, of Chicago, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, December 19, 2022. Anne lived her life gracefully and was a blessing to all that knew her. She was a very loving and hardworking woman. She enjoyed staying busy and gardening around her home. But her most important role was as mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.

Anne is survived by her daughters, Leslie Mauro and Diane (John) Shannon; and her grandchildren, Michael  Shannon and Angela Shannon.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Mauro(1983).

As it was her final wish, cremation rites have been accorded, and a Memorial Visitation for Anne will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, from 9 a.m. and concluding with a prayer service at 11 a.m. Inurnment to follow at a later date when Anne will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
