Obituary of Mary Helland

Mary Anne Helland (nee Caley) Age 58, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 14, 2011 at her daughter's home in Morris, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle against cancer. She was born June 10, 1952 in Joliet and was a lifelong resident. A graduate of St. Francis Academy, Mary Anne enjoyed a career as a Legal Assistant for many years, most recently as a member of the law firm of Chuck Bretz and Associates. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Amanda (Mitchell) Twait of Morris, and Lauren Helland of Joliet; one son, Zachary Helland of Joliet; proud and beloved grandmother of Nicholas, Marisa and Aidan Twait. Also surviving are five siblings. Mary Anne was an avid reader who enjoyed socializing with friends and especially spending time with her family. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Judson Memorial Baptist Church, 2800 Black Road, Joliet. As it was her wish, cremation rites have been accorded.
