Obituary of Christina Hellman

Christina L. Hellman (nee Rubino) Age 52, suddenly, as the result of a motorcycle accident, Sunday, September 9, 2012 in New Mexico, while doing something she loved; riding her Harley cross country with her husband Craig. Chris was an avid Harley Rider. She was a member of Joliet HOG (Harley Owners Group) and LOH (Ladies of Harley), spending many hours at Conrad's Harley Davidson in Joliet. Chris has also shared her Harley passion with Wildfire HOG, Rolling Thunder, and Will County A.B.A.T.E. Chris was also a Corvette enthusiast. Chris and Craig participated in auto-cross racing and were longtime members of the Northern Rays Corvette Club. Chris had worked for JC Penny's for over 10 years and most recently for Sears. Chris is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Craig A. Hellman; her two daughters, Sheri (Kelly) Thayer and Vicky Hellman; grandson Vern (Samantha) Fagerberg; granddaughter Jessica McElhatton; siblings Patricia (Gary) Kurtzweil, Frank (special friend Curley) Rubino, Margaret (Moses) Zepeda, Rose Quattrochi, and Edward (Henrietta) Rubino; mother-in-law Jeanne Hellman; brother-in-law Charles (Mary) Hellman; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Preceded by her parents, Frank and Nyda (nee Bates) Rubino; and sisters Barbara Rubino and Geraldine Urso. Funeral services for Christina L. Hellman will be Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Fr. Chris Groh officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following funeral services.
