Dear Sheila, Patrick, Darren, Amy and the entire Conrad family;
Keeping you all in my daily thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Ray was a great man and a friend to many. He always would say Hi and offer a Big Hug whenever I would run into him and Sheila and he always welcomed all his friends to his parties at the garage or at the house. Rest easy Ray and forever ride the winding road to paradise.
With deepest sympathy,
S

My sincere condolences to Shiela, Patrick, Darin and Amy, and all the other family members, I am heartbroken with the loss of your father and husband, and friend. I cherished his friendship throughout the many years. I loved cooking for him years ago and keeping in touch with him as time passed. The old days at bobby's and the new times at his home. He will always be a part of my heart and I will always keep you in my prayers. Ray was a special person as well as his family. Many hugs and again my sincere condolences for your loss.

We had a lot of good times together and you will be missed. I was really hoping to get together with you when the weather got warmer. I will not be able to get to the funeral home because of work demands, but my thoughts will be there and with your family. R.I.P., my friend.

Being assigned to a Police Harley motor unit at the Dragstrip and Speedway every summer I would inevitably run into Ray who was always in attendance. He never failed to track me down to just say "Hi" and talk for a bit. I thought it might have been the Police model Harley (cause we all know the Conrad family bleeds orange and black!), but he continued to make it a point to stop and talk year after year even when I let out that I rode a Goldwing personally. :).....Though he did his best to convert me on the spot by saying "Stretch...come down to the shop and I'll give you a Screaming Eagle for the weekend! I guarantee you will make the jump".
I will remember his friendly "gruff" voice, and magnetic personality always. Rest in Peace Ray.

Everyone loved Ray and he loved everyone. Such a good guy and friend, gone too soon. The world and all his friends will truly miss him. (and his famous bloody marys) I am still in shock that he is gone. I am so thankful that I got to see him last summer, as I had not seen him in a while and missed getting together with him. The times we had were just irreplaceable and I was looking forward to doing that many more times. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and may their love for him sustain them in this time of need. My own physical handicaps will probably make it impossible for me to attend the services, but my heart and spirit will be there. God speed, Ray, till we meet again.

I remember working with the entire Conrad family at the shop on route 30 in Plainfield. When the customers would come in every Saturday for pizza & pop. Ray would come and hang out for a little bit or bring guys in the back. Ray was a great guy. He was funny, giving, kindhearted; a different breed. I am so sad to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences go out to the entire family.
