Obituary of Helen Cieslinski

Helen Cieslinski, age 93, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Willow Springs, IL, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 1, 2023  at North Brownsboro Hospital, Louisville, KY surrounded by her family.  She was born October 3, 1929 in Poland to the late Tomasz and Cecylia Korzeniewski.

Helen grew up in Poland during WWII and immigrated with her young family to the United States in 1966.  She was a loving wife of the late Henryk Cieslinski who passed away in 1979.  She was the consummate caregiver, always caring for her own family and being there for others.

She was the loving mother of, Mary (Anthony) Rulka, Wieslawa (Ryszard) Wojcicki, the late Ted Cieslinski, Helen (Henry) Modlinski, John (Donna) Cieslinski; dearest grandmother of Beata (Brett) Parsons, Gregory (Jackie) Zaskowski, Thomas (Toni) Wojcicki, Jenny (Michael) Harlow, Melissa Modlinski, Marcus Modlinski, Kayla Cieslinski, Shannon Cieslinski, the late Steven Cieslinski; dearest great-grandmother of Skylar (Andrew) Plewa, Aliya Parsons, Danielle Parsons, Nolan Basso, Lucas Zaskowski, Lydia Zaskowski, and Vita Wojcicki.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Visitation for Helen Cieslinski will be Friday, February 10, 2023 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL.  and will proceed to St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 S. Rt. 59, Plainfield, IL, for 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.
