Obituary of Victor     Gutierrez, Jr.

Victor Gutierrez, Jr., age 32, passed away suddenly on February 2, 2023 in Iowa.  He was a graduate of Batavia High School, Class of 2007. Victor worked for a number of years as a roofer for Imperial Roofing, and in his free time he enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family.

Victor is survived by his mother, Theresa Raymond; his children, Unique, Aiden, Juliahna, Adelyne, Aaron, and Ezekiel; his sisters Samantha (Tim) Webb, Christina (Angel) Padro, Markeeta Weber, Carmen Bendy, and Summer Ray Daves; his brothers, Joseph Weber,  Anthony Bendy, Samuel Sabin, Michael Raymond, and Justin Duckmanton;  his grandmother, Carmen Hernandez; his grandfather, Samuel Gutierrez; his foster parents, Robert and Josephine Sabin; his godparents Domingo and Carmen Contreras and their children Veronica, Vanessa, Domingo, and Valerie; brother-in-law Gary Olds; aunts Aida (Sal) Gutierrez, Letty Franchini, Sue (Beto) Salcedo, and Joann (David) Campose; uncles Robert (Belinda) Gutierrez and Jerry Gutierrez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins,;  good friend and mentor Jorge Franchini; and his best friend Gary Hecht.

He is preceded in death by his father, Victor Gutierrez, Sr.; his brothers, Jerry Carr and Vincent and Christopher Gutierrez; grandparents Catherine and James Raymond; and his nephew Antonio Beal.

All family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Victor’s life, first with a benefit being held on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. at Morgan’s of Lockport, 14929 S. Archer Ave, Lockport, and then visitation  on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 2-7 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black(at Essington) Road, Joliet.
