Obituary of Bonnie M. O'Dette
On Feb. 13, 2023, God welcomed Bonnie (nee Bollmann) O’Dette to her heavenly home and into his loving arms. Bonnie was a current resident of Channahon, IL, formerly of Tinley Park, IL. Born on Aug 5, 1953 in Jamestown, ND, to John and Doris (nee Ladage) Bollmann (both deceased) of Palos Hills, and twin, Brenda (nee Bollmann) Baker (deceased).
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Tom, and her sons Tommy II (Kerryanne), Tony (Traci), and Brian (Andi). Her sons and daughter in-laws were an ever-present source of her pride and appreciation. May they know the breadth and scope of her immense love for them. Preceding her transition is infant stillborn son, Timothy, and beloved son, Kevin. Also surviving are adored grandchildren: Madalyn, Anthony, Emily, Avery, Tommy III, Tayloranne, and Michael. Survived by her sister, Betty (nee Bollmann) Kilkus (husband Ed), in-laws, Joe and Diane O’Dette; many nephews and nieces; and her loved dogs, Charlie and Rocco.
Bonnie was a creative artist in the Reborn Doll community in which she enjoyed making beautiful dolls and advanced to a prototype doll maker.
Bonnie fought a courageous battle against cancer, knew a joyful heavenly reunion was being prepared for her, and she rejoiced in the risen Lord. Bonnie’s constant prayer was God’s will be done and she did not fear the end of her earthly life, firmly knowing and believing real life begins with our eternity, paid for with Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.
Bonnie loved her family and would always say good-bye “I love you always and in all ways”.
