Obituary of Sherry D. Starr

Sherry D. Starr, age 67, of Plainfield, IL passed from this life Monday February 27, 2023.  She was born August 6, 1955 in Chicago, IL where she was raised and educated. 

She is the beloved wife of 40 years to Kenneth Starr; loving mother of Joshua (Stephanie) Starr and Zachary (Brooke) Starr; dearest grandmother of Zoey, Nova and Silas.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Sherry retired from Prairie Trail Public Library in Burbank, IL.  She enjoyed reading in her free time, but moments spent with her family are what she really treasured.

Visitation for Sherry will be Thursday March 2, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet.  Funeral services Friday morning March 3, 2023, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Veterans Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
