My thoughts and prayers are with you. Pam was a lovely person and a great librarian. I worked with her years ago on the team that started the Overdrive consortiums for libraries for what was then MLS. She will be deeply missed. My deepest condolences to her family, friends, the Woodridge Public Library staff, and community.

My sincere sympathies to Pam's family and friends. We'll all miss that great laugh, her big heart, her independent mind, and her fearless spirit. I'm glad her suffering is over: she put up a hell of a fight.
She'd wave me off if she heard me say I loved her, but I do. I feel so fortunate to have had such a great friend for all the years I knew her -- and I wish I had many more years with her to look forward to. Pam was a terrific friend, a passionate librarian, and a good person. We're all lucky to have known her.

Your voice, your laugh, your way of approaching challenges with confidence, thoughtfulness, and a strong moral compass, and most of all your enduring empathy and respect for others. These are the special gifts from your time in this world that will keep your presence strong throughout my life. Pam, you played such a major role in my growth as a librarian, leader, and person. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.

On behalf of the Woodridge Rotary Club, please accept our deepest condolences. While Pam was a Rotarian she demonstrated "Service Above Self" in taking on the role, Youth Chairperson. She coordinated the annual scholarship program with the local high schools. She also worked with the local high schools to send students to the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) held in the fall. She had a real connection with our youth. And I will not forget her dedication to our annual mini triathlon where she assisted athletes in applying race numbers (body marking) to ensure they were ready for the first event of the race. These are true characteristics of a Rotarian.
"Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow."
We will miss Pam, may she rest in peace.
Your Friends in Rotary.

Pam, you were taken from us way too soon. Your contributions to libraries were as great as your kindness to others. You will be missed by all of your friends in the Illinois library world.

Pam and I shared 15 years of professional friendship, from Synergy to being part of the Pinnacle formation, to the loss of our dear colleague, Kathy Schmidt, to long dinners kibitzing about our travails as library directors. I will miss Pam's energy, that drive to find the right solution, her no-nonsense candor and that hilarious and joyful laugh. When I putter around my yard this spring, instead of feeling anxious about all I need to do, I will think of Pam and how much joy she took in the simple pleasures in life.
Pam loved her job, loved her community and really thrived in her role at Woodridge.
May her memory be eternal.

My deepest condolences to your family. Having started at Woodridge in October of this past year, I only knew Pam for a very brief time. My immediate impression was that of a warm-hearted, self-assured leader who had the admiration and respect of her colleagues. Having been a patron of the Library for nearly a decade, I've seen the wonderful work that she has done for this community and know that we will mourn this loss deeply.
My thoughts are with you during this difficult time, and the rest of us here at the Library will do our best to fulfill the legacy that she started.

My condolences to Pam’s family. During the years that I worked with Pam at the Joliet Public Library and then at the Woodridge Public Library I learned so much from her. She enjoyed working with the staff and Board here at Woodridge where she thrived as the Director. Her networking with the community, Village staff, and local school districts created many friendships.
I will miss her friendship, guidance, and determination. I will also miss the humor she provided in various ways--
When she would break into the Amazon boxes to see what goodies arrived only to be disappointed when it was just toner.
When she tried to fix things around the office, like the paper shredder that was jammed almost beyond repair. She got it working again, but it was never the same.
Her first and last attempt to help us setup for a program that resulted in the loss of at least one folding table.
I will miss her whimsical umbrella collection.
I am sure Pam and Vince Lombardi will be keeping an eye on the Green Bay Packers.
We will miss you Pam, especially me. RIP

I know you don't like a fuss, but I'm going to make one. Pam, I don't know yet how to accept a world without you in it. You were so dear to me, and I will carry you in my heart forever. I already miss your bursts of laughter, your dry and witty delivery, your matter-of-fact approach and your insistence on always doing the right thing at the right time for the right reason. You've been a hilarious and spunky companion on the path through library land, and I'm going to miss you terribly. I will choose to be joyful for you, as I know you would wish. Rest in peace, my lovely friend.

Pam was my boss at the Joliet Public Library. I worked there for 9 years and had nothing but wonderful experiences with her. She was always upbeat and had a great laugh!
She was so kind and understanding when my mom passed and I needed extra time off. I know she loved her family and I am so sorry for this immense loss. I haven’t seen Pam in years and this still hit pretty hard. That just shows the kind of effect she had on people. Loyalty, respect, and true friendship.

Sorry for your loss. This is a loss for the library, community she served , and a loss for anyone who knew her. Pam was an admirable leader, woman, and a visionary. She was a mentor to me, I thank her for giving me any many others the opportunity to grow in the library. Thanks to her leadership and efforts our part-time employees where able to get more benefits. She was an advocate for staff and for our patrons.
She was a woman who had a presence when she walked into a room. She was a force of positive change an a woman of action. Pam will be missed!
