Obituary of Rosanna Margaret Schuster
Rosanna Margaret Schuster, age 70, late of Yorkville, and formerly of Shorewood, Tinley Park, Chicago and Burbank, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Yorkville, surrounded by her children.
Rosanna was born May 14, 1952, in Evergreen Park, the daughter of the late Jerome and Anna (Janisch) Trost. She married the love of her life, Fredrick M. Schuster, and they enjoyed nearly 45 years of marriage until his passing on September 12, 2016. One sister, Arlene (Douglas) Stansbury also preceded her in death.
Rosanna was a fighter, who persevered through her illnesses while still thinking about everyone else first. She lived to take care of people, especially her children, and grandchildren, and always put others before herself. She touched the lives of many with her love and kindness, was a mom to so many besides her own children, and knew no strangers. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She never missed a sporting or special event and could not be more proud of them. Rosanna also enjoyed many special friendships including her best friends who were part of her “Bunco Babes” group.
She will be remembered for her loving hugs, welcoming smile, and her reassuring words, “I love you 85 bunches.” Rosanna has left the building. Long live Elvis.
She is survived by her loving children, Michele (Jeffrey) Schuster-Difazzio of Yorkville, Michael (Lauren) Schuster of Frankfort, and Kari (Edward) Rodriguez of Plainfield; five adoring grandchildren, Spencer Necas, Amber Necas, Payton Schuster, Makenzie Schuster, and Brynley Schuster; one sister and three brothers, Anna (Gregory Laux) Trost of Plainfield, Jerome (Cyndy) Trost of Whittier, CA, Joseph (Sheryll) Trost of Yorkville, and Anthony Trost of Alsip; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Rosanna Schuster will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church, 600 N. Brookforest Drive, Shorewood, for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Cremation Rites will be accorded following service and interment will be at a later date.
Memorials in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
