Phillip C. Randles
Phillip C. Randles, age 86, of Westfield, WI, and formerly of Joliet, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023 in Waupun WI.
Born February 16, 1937 in Joliet, he was the son of John V. and Margaret (Moran) Randles, and was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1954-1957, and retired from the Joliet Fire Department after many years of dedicated service.
He married the love of his life, the former Josephine Mataya, and they enjoyed many years of marriage until her passing in 2006. He was also preceded in death by a son, Stanley Randles; his parents; three brothers, Theodore, Virgil, and Billy Randles; and four sisters, Ida Plyer, Eileen Mott, Katherine Marshall, and Joann McCune.
Phil enjoyed cooking and being a member of AA in Marquette County and Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Westfield.
He is survived by his children, Tammie (Doug) Frederick of Micco, FL, Loretta (Rick) Bednar of Vine Grove, KY, Phyllis Kruger of Cypress, TX, Patricia (Bruce) Jackson of Kansas City, MO, and Phillip C. (Michelle) Randles of Onalaska, WI; his grandchildren, Eric Frederick, Samantha Schatz, Greg and Dylan Frederick, Lauren and Elizabeth Bednar, Kyle, Claire, Carson and Chase Kruger, Sydney Jackson, Charlotte and Olivia Randles, Wendy Novotny, Victoria Novotny, Derek Hansen, Bobbi-Jo Shadowens, Crystal Krueger, and Michele Borud; his step-children, Janice Canby of Warsaw, VA, Jackie Shadowens of Robstown, TX, and James Shadowens of Marion, IL; two sisters, Anita Fredericks and Lillian Collins; one brother, Freddy Randles; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Phillip Randles will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12:00 Noon, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet, IL 60431. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville.
