Obituary of Janice Hickman

Janice R. Hickman (nee Hocking) Age 81. Passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. She was born January 14, 1928 in Morris, IL to the late William Hocking and Lillian (nee Hibner) Gersman. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to Johnnie Hickman; loving mother of John E. (Rose) Hickman, Janet (L.J.) Owens, William (Bonnie) Hickman, Sandra Bourgoine, Lillian (Randy) Doolin, James Hickman, Robert (Kim) Hickman, and Daniel Hickman; one daughter-in-law, Michelle Hickman; devoted grandmother of 17 and proud great-grandmother of 27. Also surviving are her sister, Esther (late LaVerne) Schure and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Hickman (2009); grandson, Christopher J. Bourgoine (2004); great-grandson, Ryan James (2007); her parents; and one sister, Thelma (late William) Liberty. Funeral Services for Janice R. Hickman will be Friday, October 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel Rev. Rodney Juell officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
