Kenneth Eggert

Obituary of Kenneth W. Eggert

Kenneth W. Eggert, age 81, went to be with our Lord, on April 26, 2023.  Kenny was born on December 28, 1941, the son of the late Charles and Eunice (Arling) Eggert. Born and raised in Joliet, he was a graduate of Joliet Township High School. Kenny had a long dedicated career as an Inspector at Electro-Motive Division of GM.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jeanne; his daughter Jennifer Bebee (Pete Ward); his son, Ken Eggert (Jennifer); four grandchildren, Rory Bebee (Elizabeth), Jared Bebee (Audrey), Kailee Eggert and Karson Eggert; and three great-grandchildren, Dorothy, Alan and Roarke Bebee.  Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eunice Eggert; sister, Corrine Knop; and brother, Jim Eggert.

Kenny enjoyed playing the harmonica, especially in the family jam sessions. He enjoyed golfing with family and friends and taking his grandparent’s ‘64 Ford Fairlane to local cruise nights with his buddy DuWayne. Kenny was a born again, spirit-filled follower of Jesus Christ and attended Victory City Church of Joliet.  His love of life was only matched by his dedication to his family, who will greatly miss his smile and sense of humor.

He will forever be our “BIG FISH”.
