Obituary of Brenda K. Saddler
Brenda K. Saddler, age 76, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Brenda was born on July 9, 1946, in Evansville, IN to the late Marvin and Maxine Roberts. Brenda and Rodney Saddler were high school sweethearts that fell in love and married on November 24, 1965, in Hatfield, IN. Brenda and Rodney have two children, Jeffery R. (Christine) Saddler and Rhonda K. (Mark) Feil. They were blessed to live near, spend time, and know their grandchildren Dallas, Tanner, Paige, Brendon, Jason, Marissa, Braunwyn (Danny), Adrianna, and Jackson. Brenda was a wonderful, wife, mother, and grandmother. She devoted her life to her family but was also loved by so many others. She dedicated her time to serving the Lord and reaching out to those in need. She was an active member of Community Christian Church and her faith was truly shown throughout her daily life. Through her sweet, calm, kind, compassionate, and faithful spirit, she always saw the best in those around her and exuded generosity, with her time, love, and giving. Her spiritual gift was helping others with encouraging words and true compassion, surprising many with notes and other gifts. Her many joys in life involved being generous to random people, encouraging friends and family on Facebook, going to movies on Tuesdays, taking her grandchildren on vacations, and putting the last puzzle piece into place with her husband. She is an inspiration to her family and all of those who had the pleasure to meet her. Her love and light will continue to shine and her smile will not be forgotten.
Along with her husband and children, Brenda is survived by her sisters, Sherry (the late Harold) West and Rebecca (Russell) Barker; her brother Robin (Brenda) Roberts; and numerous nieces and nephews. Brenda is preceded in death by her brothers Michael (Marie) Roberts and Terry Roberts.
His Lord said to him “ Well done good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things. I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of the Lord” Matthew 25:23
