Obituary of Stanley Piltz
Stanley W. Piltz, age 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Park Pointe Healthcare & Rehab Center in Morris. Born in Aurora on May 26, 1932, to the late Harry & Ethel Piltz, Stanley was a longtime resident of the Aurora & Elgin area. Stanley was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving overseas in Germany. After his service, he worked as a draftsman for years with St. Charles Kitchens and Geneva Kitchens. He was a member of the American Legion Post 57 out of Elgin. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching, classic cars, and watching all his Chicago sports teams.
Stanley is survived by his daughter Kelly (John) Hougas; his grandsons Brant(Heather), Seth(Melissa), and Heath Hougas; great-grandchildren Kadlin, Adelina, Laelin, Obadiah, Philip, and Aaron; daughter-in-law Rhonda Piltz; and longtime friend, Bob Olson.
He is preceded in death by his son, Tod Piltz; his parents; brother, Warren Piltz; and loving companion MaryEllen Ritchie.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and private family services will be held. Inurnment to take place at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, in Aurora at a later date.
