Born in Joliet to the late Arthur and Rose Meyer, Ardis was a lifelong area resident.  Ardis lived for her family, and her first love was time spent with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She did however enjoy bowling and bingo in the free time she did have.  She was also a huge Elvis Presley fan.

Ardis is survived by her children, son, Kenny Farmer, and daughters, Ardis Farmer, Antoinette Liccardi, and Melissa Lukas; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard and Bernard Meyer; sister, Linda Hainline; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Justin Farmer; her second husband, John Liccardi; her parents; sons, Arthur, James, Justin, and Larry Farmer; and sisters, Helen Barto, Mary Jane Kovak, Rose Schure; and brother, Arthur Weese.

Friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of Ardis’s life to take place on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black (at Essington) Rd., Joliet, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and concluding with services at 1:00 p.m. As it was her favorite color, everyone is asked to wear some blue in their outfit.
