Obituary of Alice M. Zolp

Age 95 of Joliet, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Lightways Hospice Home.  She was born in Chicago and a Joliet resident since 1995. She retired from Central Steel & Wire after many dedicated years of service.

Alice is survived by her two sons, William (Debra) Zolp of Virginia and Thomas (Belinda) Zolp of Homer Glen; four daughters, Kathleen (Robert) Mikols of Homer Glen, Jennifer Zolp of Joliet, Christine (the late Scott) McGuire of Romeoville, and Pauline (L. Brian) Swenson of Beecher; ten grandchildren, Patrick (Shaska) Zolp-Mikols and Daniel (Amanda) Zolp-Mikols, Mary Zolp, Tess, Faye and George Zolp, Veronica, Elizabeth, and Victoria Zolp, and Michael McGuire; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard L. Zolp;  two brothers, Daniel (the late Barbara) Knight and Ernest (the late Catherine) Tuchowski; 2 sisters, Lucille(the late Robert) Westgate and Margaret (Chuck Byer) Bennett.

Visitation for Alice M. Zolp will be Monday, June 12, 2023 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough St, Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. A private family inurnment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL at a later date.
