Obituary of Christopher John Gutierrez
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher John Gutierrez, who died unexpectedly on June 6, 2023. He was born in Joliet, IL. He graduated from Bolingbrook High School. Chris worked many years at Victory Church in Joliet formally known as First Assembly Church. He most recently worked and took great pride as a Deli Manager for Jewel in Crest Hill on Larkin Ave.
Chris was always smiling and laughing and if you were around him you were laughing too, a true jokester at heart. He would naturally make you feel happy. Chris also was very generous, the type of person that would give the shirt off his back for you. He had a great love for animals, whether he was learning about them or taking care of them. Chris had all sorts of animals.
Chris was artistic and loved to do all his own tattoos. He held music near and dear to his heart and could always relate to a song. Chris has impacted so many lives and he had so much love for his family and anyone around him, but always showed extra love for his children and all his nieces and nephews (Uncle Chris / Uncle Chrissy). Chris will never be forgotten, his spirit will live on forever through many, but his warm embracing hugs & sense of humor and laugh will be missed by all.
He is survived by his daughter, Nataliya Gutierrez; and son, Jayden Fite; mother, Michelle Gutierrez; father, Marcos (Lucy) Gutierrez; brothers, Thomas Gutierrez, Michael (Lisa) Gutierrez, Johnny Gutierrez; sisters, Jessica Hernandez, Christina Gutierrez. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gutierrez Family.
