Obituary of Kerry B. Terlep
Kerry B. Terlep, age 55, of Shorewood, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 7, 2023 at Lightways Hospice Home with his loving family by his side.
Born July 24, 1967 in Joliet, he was the son of the late Edward and Gloria (Kozlowski) Terlep, and was a graduate Joliet West High School. Kerry enjoyed his 30 year career with Ed Napleton Automotive Group where he served in various capacities including as Service Manager and in sales. His enthusiasm for cars also led to his serving as a Brand Ambassador for Porsche, and a supporter of many racing events.
Kerry was a loving and devoted father, brother and uncle who loved his family dearly. He was also a great friend who brought joy to many. An avid Chicago Blackhawks fan, he also followed the Chicago Bears and supported both the Cubs and White Sox in order to keep peace in the family. He was also an animal lover.
Surviving are his beloved son, Samuel “Sam” Terlep of Joliet; his devoted sister, Julie (Brian Staubus) Terlep of Channahon; brother, Jeffrey “Jeff” (Pat Tarrant) Terlep of Cape Coral, FL; niece and nephew, Johnnie Darden and Sophie Darden; his loving partner, Melissa Dibble; and her children, Tyler and Baylee.
A Memorial Gathering for Kerry Terlep will be held Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be private.
