Obituary of Jean Hirsch

Jean D. Hirsch (nee Fowler) Age 77, of Joliet, passed away peacefully Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home following a brave battle. Born August 18, 1931, she was the daughter of Fred and Verna Fowler. Survived by her three children, Terri (James) Lang of Coal City, IL, Linda (Ed Fitzgerald) Stewart of Charlotte, NC and Joe Hirsch of Shorewood; eight grandchildren, Joe (Lindsey) Hirsch, Brianna Dornan, Renee Lang, Whitney Lang, Tyler Hirsch, Ryan Hirsch, Daniel and Amanda Stewart; two great-grandchildren, Hailey Hirsch and Joseph Hirsch, Jr.; and one sister, Betty Summar. Preceded by her husband of 48 years, James A. Hirsch (June 24, 2002); and one sister, Sue Stephan. She was a very caring and loving person, who will be missed by all. Funeral Services for Jean Hirsch will be Monday, December 15, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private. Memorials to the American Lung Association would be appreciated.
