I just learned of Cousin Pat's passing. Pat was my "cousin" of sorts, and had been in regular contact with my mom Jerry Laitsch for many years. My mom passed away in 2009, and I stayed in contact with Pat. We last emailed with one another this past June 2023.

My grandma, Katherine (Mitchell/Long) and my Great Grandma Margaret Mitchell were the family connection.

Sister Pat was so kind to EVERYONE over our years at OLA. When our dad (Bob Irwin) was healthy and independent, she was there enjoying his jovial spirit. When he was ill or challenging us, she would take our side. When he was dying and after he passed, she was there for all of us. I can see her smiling welcoming face to this day. She in now able to see the face of God. RIP, dear Sister Pat.
