Obituary of Ted M. Lynn

Ted Michael Lynn, age 72, passed away at Lightways Hospice Home, Joliet, on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, with his loving daughters at his side.  Ted, affectionately known as Lucky, was born on October 3, 1950, to the late Gilford and Louella (nee Keeton) Lynn. 

Ted is survived by his beloved daughters, Kelli (Robert Petersen) Weber and Lisa (Jason) Mandac; grandchildren, Kailah Fomby, Payton Mandac, Max Mandac; his sisters, Tressie Fodero and Helen Clark.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gilford “Butch” Lynn Jr.; a sister, Mary Lynn; brothers-in-law, John Fodero and Rudy Clark. 

Ted was born and raised in Joliet.  He graduated from Joliet Central High School and was a proud Navy veteran.  Ted owned and operated TKL Painting.  Ted was a lifetime member and former President of the Ingalls Park A.C., where he enjoyed playing euchre with his brother, Butch. 

Ted enjoyed spending time with his family and loved dancing with his brother and sisters to country music.  He was a devoted father and grandfather.  Ted’s family was everything to him.  He loved to play golf, horseshoes, and boat on the Illinois River in Morris. Ted was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.  He will be remembered by his sayings, “who loves ya” and “okey-dokey fine”.  Ted was an amazing father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed.

Family and friends will meet Tuesday, August 1st, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL with full military honors conducted by the United States Navy.

Family and friends will meet Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL with full military honors conducted by the United States Navy.
