I’m so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. I maintained his furnace and AC for years. He was a very kind, and humorous man. I will miss hearing your stories, and listening to your albums with you. Thanks for always being the highlight of my work day, and thanks for the cookies my friend. Rest easy.

Mike - aka "Caruda" and I met way back when in 1971 on opposing sides of a intramural flag football game that was mostly meaningless, except for the point that each of us former football players were trying to make. At the end of the game, the point was to make sure we were both on the same team/side going forward!
And so it began, a lifetime shared with my proverbial 'brother from another mother'. You get to know someone real well when you drive together from Tulsa to Chicago and back - about 100 times. Most trips took about 10 hours, +/-. Except that time we loaded the beast with my 3-way pioneer speakers in the backseat and previewed Quadrophoenia and Moondog Matinee when, before we knew it, we were halfway home! But then the beast broke down and had to be left in Joliet for repairs - so we had to take the bus back to Tulsa! Still brings a smile thinking about that nearly 24-hour trip back to T-town, one more time again!
I'm so glad I made the trip back to Chi-town last June to attend my 50+1 year high school reunion, which gave me a chance to spend some time with you. As always, it was like we were never apart, on the same page, from start to finish.
I'll forever remember that last hug, that last good by and will continue to honor your everlasting spirit - especially when listening to some great tunes, or cruising on the highway, or admiring a sunset during a dog walk - in other words - every day.
I miss you deeply Mike - it wasn't suppose to end this way, in fact, it was never suppose to end.
But I know I'll see you later buddy!
Love you
C-Leg

Tiger Ray paired me with Mike in weight lifting class first semester our Junior year. Mike would always do the lifting sets first and wouldn't let me change the weight when I was up. He would stand there and make me do it and would help a little at first. He forced me in to the best shape I was ever in. He was one of the best guys I knew at West. My condolences to the family. Rest in peace, brother.
