Obituary of Amanda J. Alaimo

Amanda “Mandi” Alaimo, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet. She was born in Joliet on September 16, 1989, and graduated from Lockport High School, Class of 2007.

Amanda was a friend to everyone she met, and her sudden loss will leave a hole in many hearts. She will always be remembered as a wonderful daughter and mother, and she will live on through her two beautiful children, 12-year-old daughter Alayna and 18-month-old son Jayce. She was a wonderful mother who loved her children more than anything in the world. She is also survived by her parents, Julie and Thomas Lanfear; her brother, Brian (Sarah) Alaimo; her sister, Christina ((Nick) Alaimo; her niece, Bella Alaimo; her Uncle Arne and Aunt Jeanine; and many good friends.

All friends and family are invited to celebrate Mandi’s life on Friday, August 18, 2023, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black (at Essington) Rd., Joliet, beginning at 5:00 p.m. and concluding with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the family to go towards final expenses and the future care of her children would be appreciated.
