Obituary of Miguel A. Dominguez, Sr.
Miguel A. Dominguez Sr. peacefully passed away on August 15, 2023, at Alden Courts of Shorewood, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 10, 1947, in Manati, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Miguel and Juana Dominguez. He dedicated many years of his life to the City of Chicago Streets and Sanitation Department, retiring in 1989. On June 11, 1966, he married the love of his life, Maria Baez, and they recently celebrated their remarkable 57th wedding anniversary.
Miguel's contributions to Christ Vine Ministries Church in Joliet as a faithful Deacon and accomplished conga musician in the music ministry will be deeply missed. His love for the Chicago White Sox, great sense of humor, and devotion to being a husband, father, and grandfather will always be remembered.
Miguel is survived by his loving wife, Maria Dominguez; his children, Miguel (Myra) Dominguez, Jr., Jimmy (Clara) Dominguez, and Maria (Roberto) Dominguez; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.
He is preceded by his parents, Miguel and Juana, and a brother, Wilfredo Dominguez.
All friends and family are invited to celebrate Miguel’s life on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the Fred C.
