Obituary of William E. Rodenbaugh

Age 97, of Joliet, IL and formerly of Croydon, PA, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 17, 2023.

Bill was born May 11, 1926, to the late Kathryn (Owens) and William Rodenbaugh in Norristown, PA. He was a United States Navy Veteran who served towards the end of WWII, as well as during the Korean War.

After nearly 40 years, he retired from the railroad as a purchasing manager.

He is survived by his daughters, Alexandria Cirko of Wilmington, Delaware and Greta (Kaelin) Markert of Joliet; granddaughter; Rhiannon Markert; sister, Lois Miller of Hereford, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Kathryn (Luberecki) Rodenbaugh; his parents and siblings.

Bill's hobbies included fishing, antiquing and occasional visits to the casino.

As it was Bill's wish, cremation rites have been accorded and his services will be held privately.
