Cherry Ann Bass

Age 85, of Morris, IL, and formerly Oak Lawn, IL passed away Wednesday evening, August 23, 2023.  She was born May 10, 1938, in Milan, TN to the late Maude and Bill Johnson.  

She is the beloved mother of David (Evelyn) Bass, Jeffrey (Susan) Bass and Beverly (Robert) Tripamer; dearest grandmother of David (Brenda) Bass, Jr., Lisa (Chris) Breitwieser, Gabriel Bass, Jesse James DeGroot, Matthew DeGroot and Susan; great-grandmother of Michael, Ashley, Brandon, Nya, Ethan, Jesse Jr., Abel, Levi, Jimmy, Lorelei and Jaime; proud great-great-grandmother of Liam; fond sister of Linda (Al) Schalasky.  Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Jesse C. Bass, and her siblings, Jerry Dan, Robert Lee and Jane.

Visitation for Cherry will be Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 9 a.m. until services begin at 10 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 1201 W. Rt. 6 (at Deerpath Drive) Morris.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Morris, IL.
