Obituary of Carolyn Marie Mayotte

Carolyn Marie Mayotte, age 76, a lifelong Joliet, Illinois resident, passed away Friday evening at River Crossing of Joliet.

She was born August 24, 1947, to the late Charlotte (Kozubek) and Joseph Castelli.

Carolyn is the beloved mother of Robert (Sara) Mayotte and Jon (Tara) Mayotte; dearest grandmother of Jessica, Darrin, Harley, Brittney, Makenna and Jonathan; proud great-grandmother of Luna, Eli, Mason, Oliver, Vinnie and Ezra.  Also surviving are her sister, Rosemarie Ortelli and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Mayotte; daughter, Debra Mayotte and sister, Dolores Hibner.

Carolyn will be remembered fondly by her loved ones for her devotion to her family and possession of a soft spot in her heart for her pets.

All friends and relatives are invited to gather on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet to share memories and honor her life.

As it was Carolyn's wish, cremation rites have been accorded and her final earthly remains will be interred with those of her late husband Ed's at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to the ALS foundation.
