Obituary of Alonzo Medina
Alonzo Medina, age 24, passed away due to stomach cancer on Friday, September 1, 2023. He was born in Evanston, IL on January 20, 1999, the son of Adelina Perez and Juan Carlos Medina Munoz.
Alonzo graduated from Joliet Central High School class of 2017. He was raised in Joliet, and then later moved to Indiana in 2021 to follow his passion for DHL, where he was working as a supervisor. He was well-known and loved by his coworkers. Alonzo was always a hard worker and put 110% into everything that he did.
Alonzo was survived by his mother, Adelina Perez; his father, Juan Carlos Medina Munoz; his sisters, Sonia Medina, and Maura Lizeth Medina; his brother, Juan Carlos Medina; his grandmother, Irene Padilla; his grandfather, Adolfo Medina; his brother-in-law, Cleto Sandoval; his sister-in-law, Jackie Aguilera; his nieces and nephews, Emilio, Julian, Briana, Brenda Sandoval and Misael Isaias Medina; his girlfriend Magaly Hernandez; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Alonzo was very well known for his soccer skills. He enjoyed going to many soccer games throughout his life, his favorite teams were Chicago Fire and of course he was always loyal to the America soccer team. Ever since Alonzo was young, he absolutely loved city views where he always took pictures especially with his car, his Maxima. He loved traveling and visited many states throughout the U.S. as well as in Mexico.
Alonzo's real abiding passions were his family, friends, and of course his 7-year long girlfriend. He left us with nothing but unforgettable memories. He had a beautiful soul and such great sense of humor and was loved everywhere he went!

A el le sobrevive su madre, Adelina Pérez; su padre, Juan Carlos Medina Muñoz; su hermana, Sonia Medina; su hermana, Maura Lizeth Medina; su hermano, Juan Carlos Medina; su cuñado, Cleto Sandoval; su cuñada Jackie Aquilera; su abuela materna, Irene Padilla; su abuelo paterno, Adolfo Medina; sus sobrinos y sobrinas, Emilio, Julián, Briana, Brenda Sandoval y Misael Isaías Medina; su novia Magaly Hernández; y muchas tías, tíos, primos y amigos.
Alonzo era bien conocido por sus habilidades del futbol. Disfrutó ir a muchos partidos a lo largo de su vida, sus equipos favoritos eran el Chicago Fire y por supuesto siempre le fue leal al equipo de fútbol el América. Desde que Alonzo era joven a el le encantaban las vistas de la ciudad y siempre tomaba fotografías, especialmente con su Maxima. Le encantaba viajar y visitó varios estados aqui y en México.
Las pasiones de Alonzo eran su familia, sus amigos y, por supuesto, su relacion de 7 años. Nos dejó nada más recuerdos inolvidables. ¡Tenía una alma hermosa y un gran sentido del humor y era amado donde quiera que iba!
