Marilyn Freund

Obituary of Marilyn K. Freund

Marilyn K. Freund, age 75, went to be with the Lord, suddenly, on Friday afternoon, September 8, 2023.  She was born on September 22, 1947, in Noblesville, Indiana to the late William and Mary Long.  Marilyn grew up in Atlanta, IN, and attended Hamilton Heights High School, Class of ’66. She graduated from Apex Beauty School in Anderson, IN, and also studied at the University of Indianapolis.

Marilyn enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother above all things. She devoted her life to her family, church, and children. She also enjoyed the final chapter of her life spending time with her Christian families at Fellowship Bible Church and New Covenant Church in Joliet, along with her dearest friends at Finnula Condos.

Marilyn was the beloved mother of Cheryl Moore, Carmen (Mike) McKenna, and Anthony (Julie) Freund; proud grandmother of Mason McKenna, and Sofia and Sara Freund; dear sister of Bill Frampton; and a loving aunt to three nephews and one niece.

She is preceded in death by parents and her sister, Vickie Lintz.
