Dee, or as I liked to call her, Mama Dee, was truely the most caring, supportive, loving, and funniest lady I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I worked with her at Baker's Square and let me just tell you, she was the main reason why I loved coming to work so much everyday. She always greeted me with a huge smile, always asked how I was doing and gave me the warmest hugs. She always made me laugh with anything she said. She always gave the best advice when i needed it most. She was like another mother to me. I will never forget the precious memories and good times we had together at the square. Our talks, how we helped each other out if either one of us got busy with tables and just our bond that we had that I knew could never be broken. She will forever be missed and she will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for being a friend Dee. I love ya!

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved Dee.
My former significant other was a regular at Bakers Square and through him, I met a wonderful group of employees, including Dee.
In seeing her obituary picture, I immediately knew who she was. Always so kind, happy and funny! Truly had the gift to laugh at herself as well.
She obviously stood out and left many with great memories, myself included.
May you each have a lifetime of wonderful memories to cherish.

I had the great pleasure and honor to work with and be amazed by Dee for several years at Baker’s Square. She was an incredible server who usually had lines of people waiting to sit in her section. She was so much fun and was a force to be reckoned with. It was hard to be sad or crabby around Dee because she would relentlessly turn your attitude for the better with her cheerful nature. I honestly cannot remember a customer complaining about her, and even remember a gentleman complimenting when she had brought him a salad when he had ordered a burger one busy lunch, saying “it was probably healthier for me.”
Though our paths diverged I often thought of Dee and spoke of her when training servers in other restaurants as an example of excellent service, work ethic, and frankly a fine human being.
You will be missed Dee. Condolences to all of you.
