Phillip Allen Weinrick
Phillip Allen Weinrick, passed away at Lightways Hospice, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the age of 62. He was born on June 27, 1961, the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (nee Beckman) Weinrick. Phillip was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and was a graduate of Hubbard High School, Class of 1979.
He was a long time truck driver and mechanic for TNT Distribution/USF. He was a parishioner at Holy Family Catholic Church in Shorewood, IL.
Phillip was a handy man and talented mechanic. He loved cars and could fix just about anything! Along with being an animal lover, he was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and enjoyed watching the Black Hawks. Over the many years of taking in the landscape while being on the open road, he learned to appreciate nature and everything that it had to offer. His love of animals was surpassed only by his love for his family. There will be a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Phillip is survived by Spouse, Maria Weinrick; son, Kevin Weinrick, of Plainfield; daughter, Beata (Michael) Witte, of New Lenox; grandson, Valentino Garfias, of New Lenox; and his siblings, Julie ( Lee) Latawiec, of Channahon, and Thomas Weinrick, of Kansas. He is the uncle of Adam Latawiec, Anthony Latawiec, Krystle Lightner as well as several other nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his parents; and his brothers, Charles Weinrick, Richard Malek, and Robert Weinrick.
Funeral Services for Phillip Allen Weinrick will be held at 9:15 a.m., on Friday, November 3, 2023, from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, to Holy Family Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
